The President of Ugwumba Leadershp Center , Ugwumba Uche Nwosu congratulated the duo of Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume for winning laurels for Nigeria during the just concluded Athletes World Championship in Oregon.
While Tobi Amusan won a Gold medal in the Women’s 100m Hurdles after breaking the world record with a time of 12.06 seconds, Ese Brume also won a silver medal in the women’s long jump, all at the World Athletics Championship in Eugene, Oregon.
The duo produced jaw-breaking performances on the final day of action at the World Championships.
Amusan set the World Record twice before becoming the world champion in the 100m hurdles.
Ugwumba Uche Nwosu thanked them for making the Country proud which he attributed to their high spirit of patriotism and hard work, noting that Hard Work pays in the long run. He commended them for their steadfastness and focus in their chosen career and for not allowing themselves to be distracted by things happening within and around our society.
Ugwumba Uche Nwosu used the opportunity to call on Nigerian youths to always be focused and work hard, noting that great moments do not easily come by.
Look at these athletes, they have written their names in gold and are equally known to the International community because of sports. Whatever you do, do it well”, he added.
