Sports: National Para Sports Festival, Mr. Capacity Congratulates Team Imo

NATIONAL PARA SPORTS FESTIVAL, MR. CAPACITY CONGRATULATES TEAM IMO

The D.S. And IMHA Committee Chairman on Sports, Rt. Hon Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Jr, has applauded and eulogized ‘Team Imo’, for their unmatchable performance at the just concluded National Para Sports Festival in Abuja. It is cheering to know that Team Imo garnered a total of 59 medals comprising 16 golds, 25 silver & 18 bronze which placed the State on 6th position in the Federation. Moved by this unquantifiable performance, the House Committee Chairman on Sports who was excessively elated described our ‘Special Athletes’ as Heroes and Heroines of sports in Imo. While expressing his gratitude to Team Imo and their handlers, Sir Amara Chyna Jr, promised that his committee will partner with the sports loving 3R Government of HE Dist. Senator Hope Uzodinma to ensure that these ‘Special Athletes’ are adequately and handsomely rewarded for bringing honor and fame to the State in spite their physical challenges. He reiterated that every encouragement will be given to them now and in future to improve on their standard. For other ‘Special Athletes’ who were not fortunate to participate in the just concluded competition, he encouraged them with this saying of Abraham Lincoln, I will prepare and some day my chance will come. He therefore admonished them not give up because it is not over until it is over.

In concluding his address to the ‘Special Athletes’, the Deputy Speaker/House Committee Chairman on Sports informed them of the immeasurable role played by HE Governor Uzodinma who saw to it that they had a hitch-free
participation in the festival by providing everything that was needed for their comfort for the game. MR CAPACITY, the Chairman House Committee on Sports, immensely commended the Governor for his love and support to the ‘Special Athletes’ before And during the competition which motivated the them to put in their best for the glory of the State. To Imolites, MR CAPACITY said, I am thankful to all those who said NO to me. It’s because of them I did it myself.
