2023 IMHA ELECTION: AS NWANGELE CONSTITUENTS ‘ SAY AYE TO RT. HON. AMARA IWUANYANWU’S RE – ELECTION BID

As preparation for the March 18, 2023 , rescheduled State House of Assembly and Governorship elections across the country gathers momentum; critical stakeholders, respected leaders and mass of the members of Nwangele Constituency, have thrown their heavy weights behind the re – election bid of the member representing Nwangele State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Ksc; who also doubles as Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly.

A number of the leaders and constituents who spoke with the Publisher of 4th Estate Reporters, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, without mincing words, maintained that the young state legislator, Amara Iwuanyanwu, has performed credibly well in the areas of capacity building, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, spread of constituency projects, community service delivery, donation of cash to petty traders for business start -ups and securing provisional admissions for Nwangele students at the various institutions of higher learning in Imo State.

The leaders of Nwangele LGA, from the 11 wards and across party lines; took a firm stand and far reaching decision following separate meetings held aftermath of the Saturday, February 25, 2023 general elections, to support Rt. Hon . Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu’s re- election bid not on the basis of his political party, the APC, but on track records of personal capacity, performance, exposure, experience, commitment to official state assignment, political sagacity , legislative dexterity, social tenacity and leadership sagacity, noting that the decision was hinged on the quality representation and people – oriented well articulated programmes of the state lawmaker, even as they opined that: “ the reward for good work is more work, and one good term deserves another. “

From Amaigbo to Abba ward, from Abajah to Umuozu, and down to Dim na Nume Isu; there seems to be unity of purpose among the leaders and opinion moulders of these various communities in Nwangele LGA as they all agreed that the Office of the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, as presently occupied by their illustrious son and State Representative, Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Ksc, is rather too strategic to wish away or sacrifice on the alter of political sentiments, neophytism, or try and error , while urging other contenders and the rest of pretenders to be circumspect in throwing their hard-earned scarce resources around for the rainy season, maintaining that Amara Iwuanyanwu’s re- election bid and collective mandate has a divine seal, a political project too important to ndi Nwangele to be stopped halfway.

Indeed, experience counts! And Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu has proven to be one of the well groomed, experienced, and exposed state legislators in the current 9th Imo State House of Assembly; judging by his numerous people – oriented bills and sponsored motions since inception of office in May 29, 2019.

Recall that during the window for sales of forms, while other political office seekers were flaunting their nomination and expression of interests forms online, taking pictures with their various parties` State Organizing Secretaries after procuring their forms , brandishing an elusive popularity in every political meeting just to gain attention, a rather proactive , cerebral and God – conscious, Amara Iwuanyanwu, despite his shortcomings, took out time to critically reassess his legislative outings in the past three and half years, objectively scored himself , spotted a few areas that he needed to adjust since all humans are proned to mistakes and presented himself to God for wisdom and direction as he led creme da la crémé of Nwangele stakeholders and critical leaders for a thanksgiving; whereat he eventually declared for a second term in office having performed credibly well to the chagrin of close observers, naysayers and other silent political detractors, even as he enjoined Nwangele leadership and electorate to be part of the Consolidated Capacity Project, being the political mantra for his re – election bid.

However, in terms of pragmatic, proactive, robust and effective representation, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu is not found wanting on his legislative duty post, as he has always matched his words with action, given his highly impressive scorecard, colourful political trajectory and eventful legislative performance. The amiable and friendly legislative wizkid of the Imo State, Rt. Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu, has demonstrate capacity to shoulder the responsibility of representing a very strategic local government area in Imo State like Nwangele, carefully judging by the various positions entrusted to him as a first timer and people-oriented projects practically executed.

Ironically, while other candidates are presenting half-truths and empty promises as political manifestos as their supporters embark on campaign of calumny; all in attempt to whittle down the public acceptablity and sustainable growing popularity of Mr. Capacity, he has continued to talk less and do more with the following projects and programmes below:

• Single-handedly built and commissioned two ultra modern markets in Nwangele LGA; located at Nworie -Okpu Prosperity market Agbajah and Nkwoebu Abba Prosperity market, respectively. He didn’t stop at that, he also gave out millions of Naira as ‘starters pack empowernment’ to over 300 women to begin trading in the market.

• Donations of transformers to communities in Nwangele LGA.

• Cleared outstanding EEDC bills across Nwangele communities.

• Had his footprints and inputs in the appointments of Nwangele sons and daughters in the Shared Prosperity Administration under Gov. Hope Uzodimma.

• Construction of 2.4km Amuzi-Umuokparadim Road with a formidable drainage system.

• Constructed solar water boleholes in all the 11 wards in Nwangele LGA.

• Built a state of the art personage |house for New Covenant Anglican Church, Amuzi Dim-na-Nume.

• Built modern 4 bedroom bungalow houses for widows.

• Donated classical cars and motorcycles to members of his constituency.

• Distributed food relief materials with cash donations running into millions of Naira to Nwangele families; in order to caushion the ravaging effect of COVID-19.

• Single handedly sponsored N5M Capacity Youth Fotball Tournament as a way of discovering raw talents and grooming them into professional footballers.

• Paid for the registration of JAMB forms, WAEC fees and eventually secured provisional admissions for Nwangele students into differnt institutions of higher learning in Imo State.

• Facilitated bills and motions that have acted as strong catalysts in propelling the advancement of the 3R Administration under Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The above are verifiable claims and established facts beyond mere rhetoric and bogus unrealistic promises as we see the political jostlers move from ward to ward, house to house, to brainwash unsuspecting innocent people at home just to solicit their support as the election draws even closer. But the well informed and army of grassroots supporters of Mr. Capacity cannot be swayed or brainwashed because; “ A bird at hand is worth more than the hundreds in the bush. “

These and more achievements recorded by Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu within his three and a half eventful years in office have given impetus to his Nwangele constituents to unanimously say a thunderous ‘AYE!!! ‘ towards his re – election bid come Saturday, March 18, 2023; a date with destiny.

And the ‘ayes ‘ have it …⚖️🔨
